SiFive, the gold standard for RISC-V processor IP, today announced it has raised $400 million in an oversubscribed Series G financing to accelerate its high-performance data center roadmap. This equity funding round was led by Atreides Management with other A-list investors* including Apollo Global Management, NVIDIA, Point72 Turion, and T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc., alongside repeat investors Prosperity7 Ventures, and Sutter Hill Ventures. The financing values the company at $3.65 billion and will accelerate SiFive’s RISC-V CPU and AI IP solutions for the data center.

The lineup includes two entirely new products—the X160 Gen 2 and X180 Gen 2—alongside upgraded X280 Gen 2, X390 Gen 2 and XM Gen 2. These new products all feature enhanced scalar, vector and, specifically with XM, matrix processing capabilities designed for modern AI workloads.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 is available in developer preview on the SiFive HiFive PremierTM P550 platform.

SiFive and Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNPS) today announced their new collaboration to accelerate the design and verification of SiFive RISC-V processor-based SoCs. The collaboration provides mutual customers with Synopsys Fusion QuickStart Implementation Kits (QIKs) that optimize the power, performance and area (PPA) of SiFive’s Intelligence™ X280 and Performance™ P550 processor cores. Synopsys Fusion QIKs for SiFive processors leverage the Synopsys Fusion Compiler™ RTL-to-GDSII product and Synopsys Design Space Optimization (DSO.ai™), which autonomously explores multiple design spaces to enhance PPA metrics. By using the implementation scripts and reference guides included in the QIKs, designers can accelerate the development of their SiFive processor-based SoCs.
